Nah.. there were very few Jews in Palestine. They lived in Libya, Iran, Iraq, Egypt... Muslims and Christians pretty much lived together in Palestine with each group governing themselves... especially during the stagnation of the Ottoman Empire.

It's a very sad situation. The Germans thought they were superior to the Jews. They took their property, jobs, civil rights, citizenship and ultimately their lives.
