I love Chinese people, the Chinese nation, and Chinese culture. I do not like the Communist government on the mainland.
By every criteria I care about Taiwan is a better Chinese country than the mainland. It has a democratic government and a much higher standard of living. It even has less economic inequality.
Taiwan shows what the mainland can become if the dictatorship there evolves into a democracy. I would rather not have the Communist dictatorship overthrown, because that would be destructive and result in many deaths. Taiwan evolved from dictatorship to democracy. So did South Korea. The mainland can too.

Maybe the terrorists should leave Israel alone
What matters is that Israel annihilates Hamas and Hezbollah, deports the Palestinians, and ethnically cleanses the land for Jewish settlement. This should be done by any means necessary.

The object of war is not necessarily killing. If a soldier can be maimed it has a stronger deterrent in that the injured is not only taken out of combat but ties up medical personnel and transport costing money, not to mention the psychological effect on the soldiers and support personnel around the injured.
