All of my uncles, aunts and cousins in Israel, most of whom were born there, speak perfect English. Education is very important to Israelis.
If you're talking about Western expressions, they have American TV, and our 2 cultures are very much alike, though not identical. Israel is a hodgepodge of many cultures--American, European, Middle Eastern and Jewish.
