So you googled and the first site that came up with some thing about the fields off Gaza is what you saw, as it fits your narrative. Don't bother with the facts in this thread, just find the hate you so crave. You're good at it.

JERUSALEM — Israel moved closer to its goal of energy independence on Sunday as natural gas from a large offshore field began flowing into the country, a harbinger of important change that will benefit the country strategically and economically, officials said.


“We are taking an important step toward energy independence,” Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement after the natural gas started flowing Saturday from the Tamar reservoir in the Mediterranean Sea to a terminal in the Israeli port of Ashdod, a journey that officials said would take 24 hours.

Past articles that I have read on this subject have led me to believe that the best gas field in this area is directly off the coast of Gaza. The problem with a gas field, or for that matter one of oil, is that you generally can drill down anywhere within it, say perhaps a small portion of it off of what is now considered to be Israel proper, and strike pay dirt (this was one of Saddam Hussein's complaints that he held against Kuwait). If anyone of you pro-Israelis can show me any valid article where Israel has expressed a desire not to extract any gas that could be considered to be Palestinian by the means of what I just explained, I eagerly will be more than happy to apologize for thinking so wrongly about Israel. ~ Susan

And of all of the possible claimants,Palestinians have the least. These fields are 150% Israeli and Israel can do whatever the hell it feels like.

The Lord works in mysterious ways. Israel is now a natural resource rich country, that is on the verge on becoming an energy supplier. Who would have thought? The future is bright indeed for Israel. If they did so much with so little in the last 65 years, just imagine what happens when the gas starts flowing.
