This event takes place in many Countries every year to remember the Soldiers who liberated the people of Germany from the Nazi cancer, family members carrying pictures of their relatives who fought against the Nazis, there is no reason today why the German and Russian people should not be friends.

I'm sure this has. been studied by sociologists and psychologists, but I wonder if it would be possible to quantify the difference in the German culture from, say, 1934 to 1954. Those who work with German businesspeople can attest to the fact that they remain arrogant and inflexible, but what has changed over the generations?

I have known and know several Germans, i believe there are good and bad in all people, i have known Germans who are ashamed of their history even though they were not born in the war, i have known others who are arrogant and some actually proud of their wartime record.
