That ground is not Israel's.

When someone repeatedly attacks you from their territory, you are authorized to seize that territory to use as a buffer zone. As I've said before, and you've refused to consider, what would you do if you lived in Texas on a border town next to Mexico and a Mexican official decided that Texas belonged to Mexico and invaded your town, killing as many as possible, kidnapping and brutalizing the population?

Would you want the US government to retaliate in a big way against Mexico so they never again attempted such a thing, level the town and turn a couple of miles of Mexican territory into a DMZ, or would you complain that the US had no right to do anything at all to the Mexican town because, after all, Texas was seized from Mexico in the first (actually not the first because the Indian tribes fought over it plenty) place?

You should read the charter of Likud, they are the nutters who rule Israel with a mixture of religious nutters, it's in their charter that they will destroy any Palestinian state, so they don't want a two state solution.
