Israel-Hamas talks in Cairo CANCELED

I was just wondering what would happen when the ceasefire talks fall apart.

I can't see an agreement.

Hamas needs egypt in order to succeed moving forward with it. If they piss of Egypt, I find it hard to see how their terms can be fullfilled.
That they do.

It just seems like an odd coincident that whenever things are looking up on the Hamas/Egypt relationship, Egypt gets attacked.

Odd indeed.

Things are looking up for Hamas/Egypt relationship?

Are you high??

Hamas/Egypt relationship couldn't been worse.

What are you even talking about?!
Well, look at the history.

The US has been paying Egypt a couple $B a year since 1979 to side with Israel. During this time the Egyptian people supported the Palestinians.

In the ceasefire negotiations, it was Egypt, Abbas, (the Abbas government survives on US money and political support) and Israel on one side against Hamas.

Morsi gets elected and he is sympathetic to Hamas. He had to go.

Sisi takes power but there have been major changes in the preceding years. He has problems with his people at home. The world is pushing to break the siege. The US is waffling on its blanket support of Israel. Abbas sides with Hamas to break the siege.

Then Egypt gets attacked and Sisi has his excuse to clamp down on Gaza.

Rafah crossing closed, and talks between Israel and Hamas concerning Gaza restoration canceled, followed the terror attack that killed 30 Egyptian soldiers. A-Sisi ordered closing, transfer to some of the residents in Sinai as response to agression. Blaming Hamas, said terrorists cam from tunnles.

30 soldiers were killed by Hamas, so any Egyptian punishment is on their heads.

I don't see where Cairo , I mean anyone in Cairo said this:
Cairo clarifies that Palestinian bodies are the ones behind the attacks.

Israel propaganda.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi said on Saturday that “foreign support was offered to carry out the operation” in Sinai which left at least 34 security personnel killed on Friday.

“Every day, tens of terrorists fall as casualties [in Sinai],” Sisi said. “We have eliminated hundreds of terrorists.”

The president said that Sinai would have become “a terrorism and extremism bloc” if it hadn’t been for the military’s operations. He added that the “battle” in Sinai is “extended” and that it will not end in a month or two.

The cabinet is holding an emergency meeting on Saturday to discuss the attacks.
The perpetrators of Friday’s attacks are yet to be identified. No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attacks

All the tunnles lead to Gaza.

They did not say that did they, maybe someone else has tunnels. Do you see Palestinians anywhere in those articles, NO. They have already closed and sealed the Gaza tunnels, I do imagine they will check them. My God, how in the hell does Gaza get weapons? surely not from Israel.

There were times when Israel believed Hamas to be less dangerous than Fatah, so it gave them equipment. Many of the things are Israeli made.

A palestian from Gaza probably holds my previous car. And TV.

Damn, I miss that flat-screen.

What, a Gazan probably has your car and TV, how is that?

How do we know some zealous Israelites are not building tunnels and smuggling under this fence? Lots of money in weapons I imagine, although I read most come from Egypt and through Egypt itself into the Sinai

Some fence you have there!!

Israel Completes 245 Mile, NIS 1.6 Billion Security Fence Along Sinai Border with Egypt
December 4, 2013 2:58 pm 0 comments
After three-and-a-half years of construction and decades of border infiltrations, the last section of the Sinai border fence between Israel and Egypt has finally been completed. Spanning 245 miles, from Rafah to Eilat, the final cost of the fence came in at NIS 1.6 billion ($450 million), one of the largest projects in recent Israeli history.
Initially, the purpose of the fence was to prevent the flow of illegal immigrants from Africa. While the fence proved successful in keeping them out, the Sinai Peninsula then developed into a hub for terrorists from all over the world, necessitating a more secure system of fencing to be implemented.

Most of the property stolen from southerners usually ends up in Gaza or Arab villages in the north.

True story.

Every time you hear of a Hamas dude being targeted hit, there is an Israeli somewhere, crying, "Damn! look what they did to my car!"

Talks canceled?

Can't say I'm surprised.

They hold true to their Charter, that much you have to give them.

Skeptics tend to consider peace negotiations not simply a waste of time but dangerous, citing as evidence the second intifada that followed the failure of the July 2000 Camp David summit.

They note that every significant agreement signed between Israel and its Arab neighbors—from the Oslo Accords with the PLO to the peace treaties with Egypt and Jordan—was initiated without the US. (Skeptics tend to downplay the importance of subsequent US efforts to support these agreements.)

Because of their antipathy to “top-down” negotiations for a peace agreement between Israeli and Palestinian leaders, they have focused instead on “bottom-up” changes, most notably the program of the unelected former Palestinian finance minister and prime minister Salam Fayyad to build the institutions that could support an eventual Palestinian state.

Next election, vote A-Sisi.

I am pretty sure I see where this is going:

The tunnels actually came from a very remote and top secret area of Israel. It was top secret members of Mossad who actually carried out the suicide bombing attack. Yeah right.

Some of you folks here say that this only benefits Israel. How do you figure? Oh yeah, I know now. Because Israel loves to have missiles and mortars fired upon them from Gaza. Gives them an excuse to spend tons of shekels firing back and invading Gaza again.

Sounds logical to me, how about the rest of you?
