As the war in Ukraine interrupted fossil fuel transit to Europe, the eastern Mediterranean became a heavily militarized energy corridor capable of fueling Europe.
This may provide a partial explanation for why Biden and Netanyahu are willing to risk their standing in the world and ignore calls for a ceasefire in Gaza;

Yes , there was a Stand Down order and Oct7 was a False Flag PsyOp .
Yes , Israel handed out agreed exploration contracts days after . A dozen contracts spread among six different cronies .
The Deep State, using Israel as its proxy , not only want the Gas and Oil in Gaza but they will repeat in the West Bank for the same reasons .
Further, they want the land in Gaza to build an alternative canal to the Suez and have full control over key world shipping routes .
All the atrocity stories -- both sides-- are noise ---- Standard Deflection which is largely irrelevant geo-politically to key strategic aims .
The most interesting player , imho , is/will be Russia .
Long term they will want to control Gas/Oil supplies into Europe for as long as possible .
They do not want to allow pipelines running into Italy from what is now Gaza , and will look to hinder developments at minimum . And perhaps halt , using stronger action if required .
Of course, all of this ties in nicely with an Israeli Ethnic Cleansing type of campaign . Particularly when you can scam Stupid and Gullible people to believe an official narrative that spins Hamas into the Devil's spawn and the insane Israel extremists as Good Guys .And the Jewish people , as ever , the hard done by .
