Two questions, when was the poll conducted and who commisioned the poll? Reason I ask is the last YouGov poll I saw comissioned by the right-wing Sunday Times said 80% of the population polled said "most Muslims are peaceful and terrorist threat is low" and that was just after the murder of Lee Rigby, when negative feelings would have been running high.

Try Vancouver, Canada. You can't walk a city block without bumping into half a dozen there. I agree, they're nice people, hard working & law abiding for the most part. Although Canadians looked at them a little askew after they blew up that Air India jet over the Atlantic, killing 200 Canadian citizens, most of them immigrant Indians. The RCMP never was able to pin down the culprits, but the evidence trail pointed pretty overwhelmingly to the Sikh community in Vancouver. Nice people, yes. FGM is not common amongst Muslim groups. It IS common within African groups. Egypt may be the exception, but there are very few culturally Egyptian people in Britain.

As to your claim about Islam, above: Islam is possibly second to the American culture for killing. The only thing is, America tends to kill for racist reasons - backed up by financial incentive - while Islamists tend to kill for tribal reasons.

George Orwell, arguably Britain's greatest 20th century polemicist, had so much to say about the pansy left during WWII, and about it's continuous attempts to disarm the populous: "That rifle hanging on the wall of the working-class flat or labourer's cottage is the symbol of democracy.
