I agree. like duh. What a question. First Libya and central africa. now Syria? It would be a favor to Israel though to establish a no fly zone against Assad. If Assad falls then Hezbollahs biggest conduit disappears. Lebanon could be freed.

HAMAS supports the opposition. Thus Hezbollah most likely will also.

Perhaps a PARtial blockade, surround golf courses. No, it isn't an act war because the Constitution does have "aerial blockades are an act of war" in the clauses.

Pretty sure the constitution doesn't have an "invasions are an act of war" clause either. Does that mean Afghanistan and Iraq weren't wars?

Blockades, properly done and enforced [any the UN hasn't the balls to denounce, like Israel and Egypts blockade of gaza] are above board.

Blockades are, by definition, acts of war.

SECTION II : METHODS OF WARFARE

93. A blockade shall be declared and notified to all belligerents and neutral States.

94. The declaration shall specify the commencement, duration, location, and extent of the blockade and the period within which vessels of neutral States may leave the blockaded coastline.

95. A blockade must be effective. The question whether a blockade is effective is a question of fact.

96. The force maintaining the blockade may be stationed at a distance determined by military requirements
