As long as Islam exists, so too will elements such as ISIS, ISIL and other Islamist terrorist factions. Years ago, there was a PEW Research Center study in which they interviewed many Muslims on how they believed that "infidels" (those that are not of their religion) should be treated. That study found that an estimated third of Muslims believe that all non-believers, should be either converted, enslaved, or outright murdered. That estimate of a third of the Muslim population would equal the population of the population of the entire United States.
So, what are we to do? If Islam was just some small cult, that could be solved, but with over 2 billion people, it isn't going anywhere.
