In its recently published magazine, Rumiyah, that the terror group publishes in different languages, including English, Arabic, Russian, Pashto, Turkish, French, German and Indonesian - the militant organisation has launched a recruitment drive. Experts have been warning about the terror group spreading its evil tentacles across the world even as the outfit came close to the brink of defeat in several territories in Iraq and Syria - where it was born. In the latest edition of its magazine, that has been authenticated by leading counterterrorism organisation, SITE Intelligence Group, ISIS not only provides training modules to launch attacks - but also invites ‘wannabe serial killers.’
Bloody new terror tactic: Stab, dispose, Repeat
In what is being described as the group’s bloody new terror tactic, ISIS says it is recruiting wannabe ‘serial killers’ to terrorise people in the West. It even urged extremists living in Europe and the U.S. to increase the frequency of random knife attacks in cities, towns and villages. An ISIS Commander reportedly said that the terror outfit wants to build an army of lone-wolf jihadis to carry out a ‘campaign of knife attacks.’ The group wants followers to buy a knife, slaughter innocent people and then dispose of the knife and start over again. The Commander says, “jihadis “could dispose of his weapon after each use, finding no difficulty in acquiring another one.”
The group reportedly believes that serial killer-style stabbings would be impossible for security services to detect. Therefore, the group provides training in the magazine for people to choose the right knife. It even suggests that followers should strike in secluded places after dark to avoid detection. This, ISIS says would help would-be jihadis “to overcome their squeamishness by using knives instead of guns – because it is easier to carry out large numbers of murders without getting caught compared to shootings and bombings, which require coordination and specialist equipment.”
