Trump made a statement yesterday that suggests that what he does "FOR THE COUNTRY" cannot be prosecuted as it isn't breaking any laws.

"He who saves his Country does not violate any Law." is what he wrote on his Truth Social page.

So now, not only can Trump be compared to Hitler but also to Napoleon Bonaparte, who was the first person who said that.

Democrats are all pardoned by Biden, but you have to ask yourself, for what?
You do know that the Constitution does allow pardons, don't you? That does not make-pardons be "above the law"

Sure he is above the law at least for now. The Justice Department should never be under the POTUS. It should have been set up as an independent department under the Judiciary

There is no criminal intent and he is acting in his official capacity.

Joe Biden is "above the law," for the same reason. Even if he was accepting bribes from Chinese oligarchs, he was acting in his official capacity. The court has ruled him immune.

"Above the law," is not the right phrase. My sons had to register for the draft, even though they all served in the military. My daughter never served, and she never had to register for the draft.*

That doesn't mean she is "above the law."

So, no. Trump is not above the law. The law will be applied to him as required for a President of the United States.

It's great to have a president on your side. Why didn't your party just run a candidate in 2024?

According to SCOTUS, Trump, in the effect of his duties, cannot be charged for any crime, with intent or not.

Congressional House Repubs exhaustively looked for any crimes that were committed and came up empty. Compare and contrast that to trump's two federal, criminal indictments voted on by three different grand juries. Charges he used endless lawfare to escape from.

Correct. My statement about "criminal intent" was not needed.

Your argument is not with me, it is with SCOTUS.

Trump merely restated what the courts ruled.

Funny how your side believes that a TRO by some obscure federal judge in Rhode Island is sacred, but get so angry about a ruling by the highest court in the land.

My side? I am on the side of law and the truth.

And, yes, SCOTUS got it wrong and it will be pulled by after Trump leaves office.

“Is Trump Above the law?”

Trump thinks he is, as do his supporters.

This is fundamentally fascist – the classic ‘justification’ of authoritarian despots and dictators: that the rule of law can be abandoned and violated to save a country in no need of saving.
Somehow it's your crowd who can't see the forest through the trees.

Someday you won't thank us.

That is not what the courts are saying!
