Fascism is a result of socialism which derives from Marxism, which is all left-wing. Mussolini and Gentile were both devout socialists. Both Gentile and Mussolini were devout socialists who felt socialism didn't go far enough as both believed that. private action should be oriented to serve society. Both were against individualism, for them there was no distinction between private and public interest. In their economic postulates, they defended compulsory state corporatism, wanting to impose an autarkic state (basically the same recipe that Hitler would use years later). Make no mistake about it, Mussolini and Gentile hated true traditional liberalism as well as capitalism.
