Is there a way for us to notify the government to evenly re-distribute our $1K checks to others?

Is there a way to notify the government to keep our 1K checks, instead throwing them into a pool and adding to the checks of others who were actually harmed by the virus, or more likely harmed by the harsh economic shutdown? Is there anyone else here who would tell the government to instead send the money to the guy who had to shut down his small business or the waitress who got sent home for two weeks without pay and has mouths at home to feed? This economic shutdown does and will continue to have brutal consequences.

I think the $1K checks are to stimulate the economy. Giving companies tax breaks for keeping employees on their payrolls is a better way to help those directly affected, but the Democrats prefer giving money to people who weren't working in the first place.

Why don't you just take it, when and if it comes, and spread $1k of help where it's needed? The government has enough on its hands without handing them more complexity.

Donate it to charity. Why do you need the government to do everything for you?

Your local food bank would be very, very grateful.

Just do that yourself. That is what I plan to do with any relief check I get. I'll use it to buy take out food and patronize other local stores.

You could always always buy 200 half pints of vodka, drive around a big city, and pass them out to the homeless bums on the street corners.

Then watch the evening news for the hilarity.

"Solar powered" / "Solar recharged". Know the difference.

When you're going to eBay to try to make your message board point stand up you're pretty much running on fumes.

Are we sure it's still $1K per person? Moscow Mitch and his Republican Magnificent Seven took the House bill and crafted one of their own without any input from the opposition. Chuck and Nancy said it was a non-starter this morning.

Not seeing any definitive release of what has actually been sent to Trump for sign off.

Yeah I don't believe anything exists yet beyond proposals.

McConartist is hilarious, gets up and starts reading the script about "this is not the time for partisanship", then turns around and crawls into a tree house that has "no democrats" scrawled on the side. Too funny.

Extra money can help poor people in various ways having nothing to do with losing a job.

It can help people to increase their income.

My older sister said she is sending hers to Matt and me, which is awesome..... because we have major plumbing issues and just the supplies are gonna cost a bundle... Matt was told to stay home the next two weeks by his employer, so we can save some by doing most the work himself

Companies have business interruption insurance. Giving people money to spend in the economy puts $1.70:$1.00 into the economy.

No. Sign it over to a charity, or go down to a local truck stop and buy American Truck Drivers meals. But the reality of it is......you're probably going to need it.

I'm not going to need it so I'm signing mine over to a local charity.

Last night TV news announced checks for $1200 would be sent to all Americans with incomes of less than $75K/ year. Saw that again about an hour ago.
