The deadline for FAA air traffic controllers to respond to Elon Musk's email about justifying their jobs was 11:59 pm EST on Monday, February 24, 2025. This email, which was sent to approximately 2 million federal employees including FAA air traffic controllers, asked them to provide a summary of their accomplishments from the previous week in five bullet points.

If, and when, people can't fly anymore, could there be a much bigger disaster?

Think of the lives it would save.

MAGA doesn't care. They want as many cuts as possible so that they can get big checks from their Dear Leader.

Where the cuts come from, or the problems they cause, don't matter.

Government is evil and out to get us 'n stuff.

For $5000, I think the whole country would vote to close down the airports

Imagine, no immigrants flying in from Haiti at taxpayer expense and think of all the carbon emissions that would be prevented by keeping these planes on the ground. From what I hear, one plane ride equals the carbon emissions of one SUV riding around all year on the road.

Yay team!!

:D

LOL....Make Greyhound/Trailways great again.

The great unwashed were never meant to take to the skies.

Pro-tip, never take a flight with a stopover in Atlanta.

Are you trying to say that air traffic controllers didn't do anything last week?

Amtrack might actually get customers.
.

My niece is coming for a couple of weeks in June and I wondered to her if she might take the train instead of flying, but she got her flights booked before we could have a serious discussion about it.

I love taking the train, and the Empire Builder from Western Washington to Fargo ND is beautiful!

Couldn't quite understand the leap you made there. Why couldn't people fly any more?

Are Musk's people going to evaluate if an employee keeps his job? Am sure the FAA has everybody well evaluated in their files by experts in the field. With safety of the flying public being their top priority, I'm sure they don't fool around. Thank God, they've got a pretty darn good record.
