/----/ You need a third option.
3. I don't care because I'm not a slave to political correctness.

I don't think it should be considered derogatory....but how would you differentiate between an American Indian and a "real" Indian from INDiA? I've had some conversations where some confusion was generated.

The Vikings used to call them Skraelings, which does have some connotation of "savage" attached to.it. However, the Vikings who visited North America did not seem.to have the intention of genocide that English and Spanish colonials did.

I believe the correct term is "Injuns."

That way you don't confuse them with curry-gobbling phone solicitors and 7-Eleven employees.

Edit: I see Muhammed beat me to the draw. That's what I get for not reading the whole thread before I post.

It's not politically incorrect, it's geographically incorrect.

But at least we don't have to use gender-specific identifiers to every noun like you Germans do with your die, der, and das.

In English, a hammer is just a ******* hammer.

that is not the only problem 😁

we must now say .....

Inder and Inderinnen
Indianer and Indianerinnen

to be gender,correct😳😁

in Englisch you can just say .... the French ....or the Swiss ...

but politically correct Germans must say ...
Franzosen und Französinnen
Schweizer und Schweizerinnen ...

WTF?? :laughing0301:

"A “third gender” was introduced by the end of 2018 in Germany. All official documents now have to contain not only the genders male and female, but also the third gender “divers” (various/other) for intersexual or nonbinary people. Therefore, nobody has to worry about choosing one of the binary genders when they simply don’t identify with it."

15th post
you can also mix politically correct and incorrect terms, Zebra, like native redskins and african nig*ers.
