The internet has made a huge difference in how news is distributed allowing people more choice in how to get the news, however, much of the content remains controlled by some rather strong players that often are driven by an agenda of self-interest. This results in us being fed opinions rather than facts or truth.

Many times over the last few months supporters of non-establishment candidates Donald Trump and Bernie Sanders have been less than overwhelmed and even miffed to see how poorly their man was treated by the press. The article below questions whether the press is busy trying to chose our next President.

The "Press" is struggling for its very existence. The business models that sustained newspapers, magazines, and broadcast news media simply don't work anymore. So on the one hand, they are doing everything they possibly can to maximize their revenues (mainly advertising revenues), and on the other hand, they cannot avoid the political slant that comes from the fact that 90% of the people who choose journalism as a career are Leftists to the core.

And you cannot see your own "slant" if everyone and everything around you is slanted the same way. In fact, if that is the case, you think you are being "balanced."

The press has been slanted for decades ... many of them broadcasting for decades as "honest" - like Sam Donaldson - whose "honesty" cost him his job. The internet was his undoing, but his ego is so big he still pops up once in awhile showing his angst. Then there was the anchor who lied about some incident in Iraq or someplace ... same with Hillary Clinton over coming under fire ... and the internet ultimately proved both those "honest" claims to be not so honest. "Journalism" is not so much journalism anymore as it is "opinion."
