I think that this coat of arms has nothing to do with Lithuania. This heraldry is found everywhere among the hussars, even in the Caucasus there was a Grodno hussar regiment with this symbol
The cross on the rider's shield is the Hungarian and Austro-Hungarian cross.
The Litvins have nothing to do with this. This symbolism most likely came to them after this territory was conquered by the Poles and included in the Grand Duchy of Poland(Rzeczpospolita) and this is just from their coat of arms:
