What makes me think he wants this war to end?

He said so.

What's his end-goal?
For those who actually listen to what he says, he wants a rules based international order, where the rules are applied to every sovereign nation equally.

. . . but if you listen to the silly war propaganda he has always, and will always have the same agenda.

And what part does peace have to do w/that goal?
In reality … none.

I’m sure he would like to just demand control of those countries and have them “peacefully” surrender their sovereignty but…

I believe Putin wants peace. He probably thought the war would be a quick
conflict, not a 3+ year quagmire. He has lost a generation of men.
You think Putin's a competent general?

So he invades another sovereign country unprovoked, and your brain tells you that he wants peace?

Putin is the master liar. He is getting old and wants to cement his legacy as a great Russian leader. He has stated from his first day that his goal was to reconstitute the old Soviet Union. He does not want peace.

If not, what's his end-goal?

If he is, what makes you think that he is?

Putin doesn't want peace until he can reconstitute the old Soviet Union. He wants to go down in Russian history as a great Russian leader.

Well, Marc, if you just ignore my reasoning, you might have come to that conclusion.
But, I had reasoning behind what I posted, and you ignored. :rolleyes-41:
Let's dig in some more then, what reasoning is that?

Let's say he somehow accomplishes that goal, does Russia have a history of being peaceable?
