The Odyssey is a scriptural writing that is not entirelyHaha, yes, I've read the Odyssey. In fact, I named my blog after the hero: Odysseus Unsheathed
historical----He did not actually ENTIRELY destroy
Troy. It is a both fanciful and hyperbolic account of
an actual conflict. Ezekiel is not historical at all. It recounts horrors that never occurred and does not even purport to be a
prediction and is so presented. It is written to be an example
of HORRORS---neither history nor prediction---more like
a discussion designed to elicit emotion. Much of the
Midrash involves fantastic tales
that are designed as teaching tools----also not history.
The NT is designed as a justification for mass murder
by IMPERIALIST "holy Rome" Large parts of the OT
are, simply, history that cannot be interpreted by inebriates
who imagine that every line is a heavenly determined "law"
or every action by the players is to be emulated as DIVINE.
Unlike christianity and islam, Judaism is not a personality cult.
