is Hockey a white sport?

Takes money and willing parents to get you to the rink and pay $1000s every year for equipment. Only the rich or scholarship Canadians can learn it from childhood.

We skated all the time at public ice rinks outside on old figure or hockey skates from goodwill but no one could afford hockey team and working alcoholic parents would not drive you to 11PM practice when ice opened up.

I agree 100% ... but those are penalties ... you slash someone across the wrists you'll get a two minute penalty ... like giving away a goal ... I came to watch the fastest game on Earth, not a boxing match ...

If you hit someone in the head with a six foot stick, you're doing two minutes in the penalty box ... use the broken pieces to stab with, well that's five minutes ... try to cut someone throat with your skate, that's a 10 minute misconduct penalty ... connect and kill the guy, you're going to get suspended for a game or two ... without pay ...

What a game, eh? ...

That's true for all sports played in Gringo culture ... except perhaps soccer ...

Football, baseball, basketball, hockey, lacrosse, tennis ... golf ... everyone one was pure white and had to have the "color barrier" broken ... I can't think of a single sport played here in Anglo-America that originated in Africa ... except perhaps soccer ...

I accept as true that there are not a lot of white cornerbacks in the NFL, because not many deserve to be there. There is one for the Broncos, but so what. I do not see that as any sort of "discrimination" against white cornerbacks, and unless there really is reason to believe a "color barrier" exists, there is no reason to bean count. Hockey is primarily an extreme northern sport for the obvious reason that ponds freeze for kids to play on at early ages in the extreme north.

Many fans believe hockey means a sport with racial plurality because there are more white players in hockey than are in soccer.

Growing up, I grew up next to a cop, my god was into hockey, so he would grab me and my brother ... his three sons and always take us to the rink

well there are less than 10 blacks for 400 something white players.......so yeah

founded in Canada before they got all woke and needed diversity
spread to Finland, Norway, Sweden and Russia which are 99.9% white

it's demographics, you need ice, you need to skate as good a you walk without thinking about it

skate, stick, puck.......it's the most skilled sport of all of them, they have a high level skill
