After a day and a half of digging through my sources, I’ve finally gotten to the heart of the story with this idiocy:

This policy is the brainchild of a new member of our HR team who used to be part of Labor Relations. She literally believes that women should look, think and act like Men at all times in the work environment. To the point of choosing their careers over family, children, etc...

I’ve met this woman a handful of times when I was involved in Union Issues and she’s quite a beaut. The first two times I met her I’d have sworn she was a man until she opened her mouth and spoke. She’s quite the character and now thst she’s got power, the Gods only know what’s next.... probably a “no makeup and no hair past the shoulders” policy.
