They failed to hold Bush accountable for 9/11 and New Orleans. Will the cons hold Obama accountable for Baltimore?

And what 'high crime or misdemeanor' was committed by Obama regarding Baltimore?
Irrelevent. Congress is the sole authority here and they can define that any damn way they wish and it would be perfectly legal. If congress decides the act of golfing is a high crime then and convict him for it then it stands. That is how sole authority works.
As far as why they have not impeached him it is clearly a political suicide if they were to do this – it would be MASSIVELY unpopular. The other fact here is that the statement “they have the numbers” is false because it is NOT an up or down vote unless you ignore the process and only focus on drawing up the actual articles of impeachment. The posters baying about this are well aware of that fact though so I have to ask why you are being blatantly dishonest about the process. There is literally ZERO chance the senate would convict. What possible reason could the republicans have to draw up articles of impeachment if the senate will simply throw it out. Particularly if it is massively unpopular.

Okay, so Obama is a lame duck, and the cons are going to use his failure to quell his race's violence to turn this country hard right.

I wonder if the blacks realize that it will be another 200 years before they get another POTUS, because of Ferguson, Baltimore and Obama.

I used to truly sympathize with the blacks when I lived in south Alabama back in the 60's, but trusting one now can end my life, just because I'm not black.

I still feel sorry for good blacks, because they've just been set back 100 years.

Every time he gets involved in a racial situation he is accused of race baiting. When he doesn't he's accused of complacency. Just say you don't like Obama no matter what he does.
While there are certainly people who just don't like him I don't think this is a situation where that really applies. He has the right to be any kind of president he wants but in a case like this the vast majority of Americans want a president who comes out quickly and forcefully and says that says in no uncertain terms that this is unacceptable and will not be tolerated no matter what the underlying grievance. If he did that the vast majority of Americans would support it -- But he wont do that because he will never come out and condemn black people for conduct like this.

You are right that there are some people who will criticize whatever he does in many situations but here he has a clear way to get overwhelming public support. The fact is that there are also people - like you in this case I think - who will never admit there is legitimate criticism of him. And if there are ever cases where his true colors come shining through, these race issues are those for sure. No matter what the merits -professor gates, ferguson, trayvon martin - he reflexively goes to the same side . Its pure politics. For a president who wines about race based opposition to everything - maybe he should try droping the race card for once and being the president of all the people. But we both know he wont do that

He has already condemned the violence in Baltimore.

I agree that politics come into play, but both sides are equally guilty of that. When an issue like this happens it's people's knee jerk reaction to pick the most obvious side before the facts even emerge.

There is no side to pick unless you are for domestic terrorism. And that's a fact Jack.

Was it really Obama who set black people back or was it that whole being locked in chains and forced into free labor for 400 years thing? :dunno:
None of those in Baltimore were in chains or slaves in their lives. They have been given everything BECAUSE they are black. Criminal activity is inexcusable.

President Obama forcefully condemned the violence in Baltimore that erupted after days of protests over the death of a black man in police custody, calling it “counterproductive” Tuesday and labeling the rioters “criminals and thugs.”

Obama condemns violence in Baltimore calling it apos counterproductive apos - LA Times

Their acts took away from “days of peaceful protests focused on entirely legitimate concerns,” Obama said during a news conference at the White House.

So in a far left controlled city they are called criminals and thugs. Why do that for all riots cause by far left actions?

See the message of the far left and why they are the most dangerous religion on the planet.

No, I think they are called criminals and thugs everywhere.

You don't see how a history of slavery and discrimination can set a people back? If you know a 40 year old black man his father is old enough to remember having to use a separate water fountain. If you know a 90 year old black man his grandfather may have been a slave. Slavery wasn't that long ago.

The House acts independent of the Senate. They can draw up the article and vote to impeach the president like they did with President Clinton. It is the Senates job to try the president and if convicted remove the president from office. It will take two thirds majority to convict a president so it would be fool hardy, but as far as...... is it enough......of course it is, the bar just isn't that high.

My grandfather was the grandson of a plantation owner.

None in Baltimore were old enough to remember separate drinking fountains. And slavery ended 150 years ago. But none of that justifies what they did last night. Just like there is no justification for that cop in South Carolina to shoot that black man in the back eight times. Crimes are wrong no matter who's doing it.

Yet no riots in SC over that..

The cop in South Carolina sits in jail charged with murder. The Baltimore cops are on PAID VACATION.
