I don't get the Liberals. One minute they're saying that abortion is all about women's rights and the next minute it's about the right to murder your baby. So which is it?

It is all about women's rights so long as the infant wasn't a woman.
Abortion is really about the right of people to sleep around with no concern for life, no concern for responsibility, no concern for contraception, so long as they can go to a taxpayer-financed clinic and just pop the baby out and go right on sleeping around.

I reckon it is. The "clump of cells" while unable to live outside the mother independently, will not develop into an elephant, or a tree, or a fish. Furthermore, physiologically, that baby is no different at the moment it leaves the womb than it was a few seconds prior. Thus, we can reason that the baby, prior to exiting the womb, is also a human. We all accept that it's a human once it comes out, and it's the same baby a few seconds before it comes out, so clearly it being inside or outside isn't really a factor.

Having said that, I still think abortions should be reserved for cases of rape, defect, and of course the mothers life being in danger. Perhaps also cases where the child is a product of adultery.

Fetuses aren't people, so they can't be murdered.

We don't count Fetuses on the Census.
We don't let you count a fetus for a tax deduction.
Even when abortion was illegal, it was never charged as murder.

As a practical matter, making a Fetus a person with more rights than the person it is inside is problematic at best.

Do we now investigate every miscarriage as a homicide?

Do we charge pregnant women with assault if they have a smoke or a sip of wine?
