Would you, and/or do you, take a self-proclaimed media source hat has "fact based" in it's very title seriously?

Would that be a valid source of news and information for you, or not?

What are the things you look for in an authoritative media source?

For instance, do the owners of the publication matter, or not?

Short answer: No.

Because people who say "this is a certain fact" are trying to steer others away from the fact they cherry-picked them or distorted them in some fashion.

Funny, you of all people are asking this question.

what about politifact? They cant even spell politics, so they obviously cant be trusted.

Answer to the question is : No. I look for information from multiple news sources and weed out the propaganda.

I find that politifact can be quite biased. I think a lot of people fail to realize how subjective reality can be.

I understood long ago that all people are biased,, and also know that all journalist or news casters are people that means all news is biased,,

therefor it falls on me to be the fact checker,,,

So, no answer huh? Got it.

The title, or use of such words, would not influence me in any way.

But the content reveals biases fairly quickly. I rely on my own judgment.
