I'd ask the mod/mods (that have removed some of mine) this question but I don't know who they are....Can't ask questions of a question mark notice. :dunno:

If I post a meme it is in fact my commentary.

This one has been removed twice.

The meme speaks for itself.

The meme speaks for itself.

Seems petty removing that

Sometimes I post something that may not be my personal view but others may find it interesting. I use the thumbs up emoji to show the poster made a good point but doesn't mean I agree with it.

As a thread starter, no. As a commentary, yes. Says so right in the rules.

Meme pics are OK - if they are about topic and NOT just personal and fit the definition of substantial and relevant.

I suppose there is a lot of room for interpretation there.

I would doubt the dog knows what a Lord is.

^child obsessive.

Is a meme "commentary"?

If it has humor (black or white) and a kernel of truth, then IMO it's commentary.

Jiminy crickets.

At first you only had to have three sentences.

But that was too much work thinking that much.

Then it got knocked down to two sentences.

Which also seems to still be too much thinking, given the number of closed threads.

So now we wanna dumb the topicals down to memes?

Personally, I think the Youtube and TikTok clips shouldn't be considered a source.

Hardly anyone ever even provides any info about what the dumb video is even about, and often it's like a thirty minute video that the two sentence minimum doesn't even attempt to describe. So you have to flip through it to kind of guess what the OP is trying to say. Pft. Screw that.

But I think most times it's just an attempt to push traffic to their favorite social media channels/content creators in this day and age of very shallow digital ''activism.''

Total waste of readers' time...

It was a response to an existing thread....Not a thread opener (OP).

I still do three sentences in an opener for the most part.

Now if I used it after a link in an opener and that was it (no original commentary) then a mod would have something to act upon as that would be against the rules.

IMHO a meme in response to a thread post is no different than responding with an emoji.
