Iran to sign deal

Actually $75 in Feb before the war. Still waiting for Trump to lower the boom on Iran again. Negotiating is a waste of time.
Prices had been rising due to Trump's rhetoric as noted below. War talk, as you should know, always spooks investors, which explains the rise from $55 January 7th.

Oil prices rose about 2% on Friday with traders bracing for supply disruptions as nuclear talks between the United States and Iran had yet to reach an agreement.
Brent crude futures settled at $72.48 a barrel, up $1.73, or 2.45%. U.S. West Texas Intermediate crude finished at $67.02 a barrel, up $1.81, or 2.78%...

..."Uncertainty prevails, fear is pushing prices higher today," said Tamas Varga, an oil analyst at brokerage PVM. "It is completely driven by the outcome of the Iranian nuclear talks and possible military action the U.S. might take against Iran."

So who can withstand the blockades longer, the US or Iran, hint: oil is at $87 and dropping, down from $106...
Iran has been here since 550BCE, so I'm pretty sure it isn't worried about the next mid-terms.

Oil markets are pricing in a low risk of major supply disruptions in the future which isn't particularly foreward-looking when dealing with psychopaths like Trump and Netanyahu.

There is also the government artificially depressing oil prices by selling the people's oil for less than its market prices:

ChatGPT: "How has releasing oil from its strategic reserve affected current US oil prices?"

"The most widely cited U.S. Treasury analysis of the 2022 SPR release estimated that it lowered U.S. gasoline prices by roughly 17–42 cents per gallon, with a central estimate around 38 cents per gallon when coordinated releases by other countries were included."

When Trump made his latest blunder last February, many were predicting an end by Memorial Day. I suspect it will still be going next Labor Day. :stir:

Something important to understand:

Iran was in negotiations with the US over its nuclear program, when our criminal President surprise-attacked them

Now the US enters the exact same negotiations again, but in a WEAKER position.

The entire thing has been an expensive failure.

He understands. He just doesn't care. He's more interested in how to spin this into a Nobel Peace Prize or to simply blame the failure on someone else.

If the latter, I'm guessing DUI Pete will be the fall guy.
Trump depends on Americans being to busy to follow his daily diatribes and contradictions. Only an extreme economic or political (military) crisis can change that reality.

Imho, Ukraine, Iran, and AI all have the potential to focus American attention the way 9/11, the Great Recession, and Covid did; if they all fail at the same time

There's no doubt he will never admit his role in any failure, so if mid-terms go badly for him, we could see an entirely new Cabinet in 2027?

Anyone who thinks that is a source for each piccy is someone who'd post something like that.

Neither is Trump worried about the mid-terms. If voters are moronic enough to vote for democrats we can deal with it.

when Biden sold "the people's" SPR oil to China thru Hunter's partners you weren't so upset right?
Link proving we are selling SPR oil at less than market, I call bullshit.
We should be able to fill the SPR up again after Hormuz opens and oil bottoms out with money left over...

It takes as long as it takes. The CIA and Copilot think 3-months should do it, so Labor Day is the outside, the 4th of July the quickest. I'm fine paying a few dollars more for a fill-up if it gets Iran's nuclear and ICBM programs stopped.

You are really okay if Iran gets nukes and ICBMs????? It was a "blunder" to stop them, really?

Iran. Not because I want them to but because they are fanatics.

A good reason why I abhor both politics and sales: deceiving people for personal gain.

I grew up in a military family. My three closest are military retirees. I respect those who have taken an oath to support and defend the Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. Those who don't, not so much.

Traitors, White Nationalists and other enemies of our Constitution are evil people. They claim to be Christians but never act like Christians.

/-----/ OK cupcake. ya got me. I did a quick search on the fly and didn't check the dates on each photo. Now go ask your nanny for a cookie.
Try this one:

And for the record, you dumbass, from my link there was a photo about Iranians celebrating the death of the mullah. I guess it didn't suit your needs.

Well, your caption says Iranians in LONDON are celebrating the death of the Ayatollah. People who were chased out of Iran a long time ago.

I’m not sure what that is supposed to mean.i do t think you do either.
It was your fellow libtard who claimed the photos are AI. And the video is dated May. Why are you guys hell bent on denying the Iranians are happy about this?
Because you haven't posted any real evidence that they are. You have posted bunch of outdated photographs of other celebrations, or celebrations from Exile communities.

Same shit when Trump kidnapped Maduro. They took fake photographs to try to pretend the move was popular there.

Given how dependent we are on Chinese components to keep our manufacturing running, selling oil to them was a good idea at the time.

Look how fast Trump ran to China to kiss Xi's ring now that his economy is turning to shit. Even Biden didn't do that.

/——/ Iranians thanking America and President Trump for liberation hurts your narrative. So, you reject anything I post.
