I remember Iran clearly saying the Strait is open to anyone but the countries who are bombing it. But to read about it in the US media this detail is omitted to make it sound like Iran is closing it completely. Which it will do if Trump follows through on his threats.

Iran Shares Strait of Hormuz Update: Any Country Can Pass — Except US and Israel

"Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi pushed back Saturday against the widespread characterisation that the Strait of Hormuz is closed, with a significant caveat. "The Strait of Hormuz is open. It is only closed to the tankers and ships belonging to our enemies, to those who are attacking us and their allies," Araghchi said in an interview with MS Now. "Others are free to pass. Of course, many of them prefer not to because of their security concerns. This has nothing to do with us."

He added that tankers are still moving through the strait, just not American or Israeli ones. The message was clear: Iran is not blockading the world's oil supply, it is targeting its enemies specifically."

That's just not true. Tell that to Palau. :rolleyes-41:

From what I can gather in the news, tankers that are not American or Israeli connected can ask for permission to pass unmolested.
. . many of them seem to be getting it. Even France and Britain are in talks to allow their shipping to pass.

If nations don't do this, they apparently risk destruction.

I'm not sure what makes the Iranians think they can do that to neutral nations though. . . . It reminds me of the British "Orders in Council," that treated us that way during the war of 1812, and them telling our corporations they could not sell to Germany, (even food and other humanitarian products,) at the start of WWI.

This is aggressive and sus behavior our founders would not tolerate.

Sounds like a win- win to me. We can continue to bomb the shit out if Iran and the oil will still flow.

Last time I checked the US and Israel were not located on the Persian Gulf.

If that is the case then who cares. neither the US or Israel need Iranian oil.

You are forgetting all those oil tankers that Iran attacked and set on fire. The words of the Iranian Leadership aren't worth a used sheet of toilet paper.

When YOU say TDS...you are self-identifying~
See that is where you are wrong... I not Trump first... I'm America first and Americans first and so is Trump.... He agreed with me before I agreed with him... Its what built Limbaugh's following.... finally we had a guy who thinks like us on the radio....
You seem to be everywhere and everyone first but the American people... and its why you will never win....
Its okay not to like Trump but when you allow that to keep you from rooting for America first you have crossed over being sensible and patriotic....
