Putting them in is easy! They have parachutes. Trying to make them go up is the hard part. When we dropped them in Europe they stayed until the war was over. That's not a quick withdrawal.

CH-47 Chinooks are heavily utilized by the U.S. Army in Central Command. While the specific number isn't being disclosed, there are many of them being used by our troops in Iraq right now. Those have an operating range of about 400 miles which from the border of Iraq, could reach many areas of Iran.
