I read CNN's account.
The first half of the story repeats Syrian's side of the story and says Isreal's missles were mostly taken down.
Which we all know is laughably inaccurate.
It isn't until you go well into the article do they start telling the accurate story...as well as the opening statement hints that it is related to Trump and the Iran deal.

I agree with you that going into Iraq and replacing Hussein was a STRATEGIC mistake. (Morally and ethically is another story, but it is not our job alone to be the white night that traverses the globe, invades other nations, and stops dictators and monsters from slaughtering innocents...)

Obama helped topple him, put pressure on Egypt to move up their elections - which benefitted no one except the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood, and he helped terrorists take over the govt of our ally, Egypt.

- Helped AL QAEDA, the terrorists who slaughtered 3,000 Americans on 9/11/01, murder Libyan Leader Gadaffi and take over their own country. Yes, Gadaffi was a bad man, but he had been HELPING THE COALITION fight terrorists in Northern Africa. To express their 'thanks' for our help, Al Qaeda murdered 4 Americans in Libya on 9/11/12, to include the 1st US Ambassador to be murdered in over 30 years.

- Attempted to help ISIS overthrow Syria's President Al-Assad, after which Syria would have been under ISIS control.... We should not be in Syria, as it is in the midst of a vast civil war with at least 6 different factions fighting within its borders. There was even a report that came out that revealed at one time our Department of Defense was supporting one group that was fighting another group supported by the CIA.

Syria has been under Putin's protection for years, and he is not about to let Al-Assad be overthrown. If that is not the objective what other reason is there for being there / staying?

Syria is a sovereign world nation. The Govt of Syria nor its ruler/President asked the United States to come therefor any reason. President Barak Obama affected the illegal invasion of Syria. If there is a humanitarian relief or other problem - even the gassing of innocent civilians, this is why the U.N. was created. Liberals love(d) declaring 'the US is not the world's police force' but had no problem with being one when Obama violated the Constitution and took the country to war twice without Congressional approval.

We can agree that invading Iraq and removing Saddam in hindsight was a monumental mistake, the problem now is the same Neo-Conservatives who orchestrated that disaster are now pushing for War With Iran. Washington DC for some years has been supporting Al-Qaeda and ISIS and funnelling weapons to them in Syria and Iraq and Libya in Syria for example they refer to the Islamic Terrorists as the Moderate Rebels, there are no Moderate Rebels they are terrorists associated with ISIS and the Al-Nusra Front.

The PEOPLE of Egypt toppled Mubarak. They needed no help.

Obama admitted that his Libya policy was a mistake. Learn first, then post. You're doing it the other way round.

And Libya the 1st US Ambassador to be murdered in 30 years, but not attacked in that same time frame. THe Bush War Monger years saw many attacks on diplomats and diplomatic missions. Libya was the first time that many Americans decided (wrongly) that the US was to blame for it instead of the attackers. The conservative backlash against Obama over that attack was over the top. Iran's reach extends throughout the Middle East and is a threat to every nation. Their agents / forces are n nearly every country, and they are exerting force and influence on those nations. Nations who work with the US also deal with Iran, because at the end of the day they know the US is from another neighborhood - when they go home, Iran is still there to deal with. These countries know Iran will not be easily swayed to abandon their course / goals...

While Barak Obama's team remained at the negotiating table after everyone walked away the Iranians were MOCKING him and the United States.
- One Iranian General publicly stated during negotiations that Obama wanted this deal so badly that he would agree to about anything.

- While Obama's team refused to walk away the Iranian military was practicing bombing runs on mock US aircraft carriers.

- While Obama's team continued negotiating the Ayatollah led the Iranian people in chants of 'Death To America'.

- While Obama refused to walk away Iran was already violating the TEMPORARY rules / restrictions set in place for the period during which the final deal was being negotiated. Iran was already showing they had no intention of obeying / following anything agreed to in the deal.

- While Obama negotiated for 'peace' Iran's hatred for Israel and desire for war / the death of those who stand in their way grew. Only days after the President announced the United States would no longer adhere to the terms of the un-Constitutional 'deal' former President Obama had negotiated on behalf of the United States (with no authority to do so), Iran attacked Israel, an 'ally', from Syria.

The United States made the same mistakes in regards to North Korea as it was making with Obama's 'Iran Deal'. Our politicians agreed to deals with dictators / terrorists so that they might talk themselves into believing it and therefore sleep good at night...while North Korea continued its work to obtain nuclear weapons. We shut our eyes as North Korea began acquiring ballistic missile technology - just as Iran has begun doing, refusing to ask ourselves 'WHY would they need ballistic missiles if they did not have / did not intend to have nukes?' They really didn't want to know the answer to that. And in a few years when Iran conducts nuclear bomb testing or rolls out a nuke these same Obama deal negotiators would have been 'completely shocked to have been duped'...like we were when North Korea showed it had nuclear weapons.

Of course, I personally believe long before Iran lets the world know that it has nuclear weapons the world - probably Israel - will FEEL / EXPERIENCE the initial results of Iran's nuclear program ... when a 'Dirty Bomb' gets detonated. Afterwards Iran will claim it had nothing to do with it - 'plausible deniability' despite their being the leading exporter / source of terrorism in the world, none where so concentrated than in the Middle East.

But in the last few days the Liberals have been bashing the President of the United States, a man with enough integrity and intelligence to decide and declare the United States will not be bound / handcuffed to a bad deal Un-Constitutionally / illegally negotiated on behalf of the United States by a man who thought he WAS the United States while sitting in the Oval office.

Who are these liberals who you mention. Defense Secretary Mattis who testified the US should stay in the agreement. The Chairman of the JCS agreed and said there was no evidence Iran was violating the agreement. It is clear that the agreement did keep Iran from developing a nuclear weapon and has lengthened the time it would take for them to develop a bomb. What this proves is that the people who urged us not to withdraw were right. the agreement clearly restrained Iran and without the agreement they do not feel restrained.

The agreement was not unconstitutional. It was a executive agreement and Congress did vote on it. The attack proves that Trump was wrong and it could lead to more violence. Even Pompeo urged a third course of action. It proves Trump is incompetent.
