When was the last time (if ever) that you checked your IQ score?

This is what IQ means:

IQ, or Intelligence Quotient, is a score from standardized tests that measures cognitive abilities like reasoning, problem-solving, memory, and understanding, comparing an individual's intellectual potential to their age group.

I took my IQ test yesterday and it was 124. It has dropped as the previous time I took it was about 25 years ago and it was at 136 then. Nonetheless here below is the chart of IQ scores and what they mean:

and here is what my IQ score (taken yesterday at age 80) means:

An IQ score of 124 at age 80 indicates "Superior" or "Above Average" intelligence relative to peers in the same age group. Because IQ tests are normed to compare an individual against others of the same age, a score of 124 means the person is performing well above the average (100) for their age bracket, likely ranking in the top 5–7% of that population.

Intelligence is more important than most people realize. It defines your ability to learn and solve problems. When averages exist among demographic groups it explains "everything."

American Blacks and "Hispanics" (I hate that term) are a full standard deviation below the mean in average intelligence, and that totally explains voting patterns. When 90% of a certain demographic votes in a certain way, that is not careful analysis, that is mob mentality, for which there is no known cure.

Gazans are even a bit below that low standard, which is why they can easily be convinced to risk and give their lives for a futile, stupid cause. Black Africans below the Sahara? Forget about it. Those countries will remain shit-holes long after everyone reading this has passed away.

And yet we have the Germans...brighter than almost every other Western society, and they do the dumbest shit imaginable. It is a puzzle, is it not?

I went through my school years being told that I was "too smart to be so stupid." They were referring to the contrast between my tested IQ (which they could not mention, on penalty of death) and my mediocre grades. I paid no attention. Then when I went into the Army and saw that my test scores were truly extraordinary, it finally hit me, and I realized what a total failure I had been - relative to my potential.

So I moved up from mediocrity to pretty good, which is where I stand right now.

by the way, I just found out that this website scams people into subscribing. If you do (or did) sign up for the test, then make sure that immediately thereafter, you cancel the subscription.

Is An IQ Test Really An Accurate Measure Of Intelligence?
By Elias Nash March 29, 2025

People have been hired, fired, and even killed for their IQ scores, but in truth, these scores offer a very poor assessment of intelligence. There isn't even a consensus on the meaning of IQ. The pursuit of quantifying intelligence is controversial in its very nature. In seeking to measure individual intellect, there is also an inherent effort to rank one's fellow human beings. IQ tests can be a dangerously biased means of judgment, and that goes back almost as far as their origins.

IQ tests are good at identifying a few strengths and weaknesses, but not intelligence as a whole. They are typically useful in assessing things like a person's memory capacity and how quickly they can grasp certain subjects, making them useful in some academic settings. However, IQ tests are not able to assess judgment and decision-making skills. An IQ score can't predict how a person will react to conflict, or their ability to work with others, and it ignores personality traits associated with intelligence like empathy and open-mindedness. These traits are essential for success in a collaborative society, yet many workplaces still rely on IQ tests to judge employees.

Another major flaw with IQ tests is a lack of standardization. There are over 200 different versions of the IQ test, each of which could be influenced by the biases of its creators. These biases extend to the point that IQ tests have been used to advance racist, xenophobic, and ableist agendas.

Where did you get these interpretations? They are nor correct. The terms are all wrong
Median IQ is 100. One standard deviation is 15.
130 and up is gifted
At the age of 80 some normal decline is likely but remember its IQ not innate intelligence. You could take a cognitive function test.
You cant take an IQ test online for a dollar

False IQ tests are a very accurate measure of intelligence. Those who make the claim often score low or are trying to explain the low results by Afrian Americans

Emotions determine how intelligence is applied thats why smart people do dumb things

Using an example from Dungeons and Dragons, Germans exhibit high Intelligence, but low Wisdom.

I've taken 4 official IQ tests in my life. 133, 133, 134, and 136. When I was signing up for the army at age 17 (delayed entry program), I was immediately approached by two Army Officers after I took their test and was asked if I wanted to sign up for "Officers Candidate Training." I was a bit overwhelmed by the offer and just said that I "had to think about it." I did not take them up on the offer.

Anyway, to answer the OP's thread title: "IQ Scores And What They Mean."

To me, IQ tests, in general, reflect why the greatest inventions, explorations, discoveries, music, art, architecture, and systems of governance are brainchildren of White Europeans. These things simply come naturally to the European mind. And I believe there's more to a human being than just measurable intelligence. There's also a spiritual aspect that is likely immeasurable. And there's a certain spacial & dimensional awareness that may be genetic that aids in ones inventive nature. It's why some groups can design, build, and test jet airplanes while other groups have difficulty building grass huts or the simple wheel.

I'm not sure if it "determines" it but it could have an influence in or over the decision-making process.

You have a bad habit of ALWAYS making statements that are strong in nature but you never offer proof to back them up. You truly are not worth communicating with.

From what I have READ about MyIQ.com is that it is a scam operation as far as subscriptions are concerned but does give valid tests.

Here is one example (there are many) of what I found from "different sources". This is from legitandscam.com:

Is MyIQ.com Legit? Complete Review and Analysis

  • Subscription Model: MyIQ.com operates on a subscription basis with a 7-day trial for $0.99 that automatically converts to weekly or monthly payments ranging from $9.99 to $14.99 per week

If you thought that was a real IQ test, you failed, miserably. :auiqs.jpg:

When I was a small child, after an IQ test I was deemed "profoundly gifted". But I don't recall the score. I was reading when I was 1yo and taught my older sibling how to read when I was 2. At age 8-9 I was tutoring nursing and medical students.

When I was 19 I had to take the Stanford-Binet IQ exam to become a sperm donor and I scored 158.

Hilarious. Public school teachers are the most vociferous naysayers when it comes to IQ's. Because they generally have merely average IQ's and it drives them crazy. SAT scores don't mean anything either do they?
