That is your view on the costs. And are there middlemen involved with the product sent to the United States? Unlike Joe and the inflation, we get something in return.IPhone users are saying "Ouch" to Trump's announcement today
Here is what needs to be considered:

If Apple moved iPhone production to the U.S., the price would likely increase significantly, possibly tripling. Estimates range from $1,500 to $3,500 for a US-made iPhone, depending on the specific model and cost projections.
and here is a fact that means that many Americans will be affected negatively by this:

In 2022, there were an estimated 124.7 million iPhone users in the United States. This represents a significant share of the US smartphone market, with iPhone having a 57.68% market share.
Is Trump really thinking about benefitting Americans?
I have an iPhone 7 - and will never replace it until I have to. Why on earth would I? It is just a smaller version of stupid like replacing a perfectly operable car.Don't buy a new I-phone every year. Problem solved. Prices don't go up on what you already own.
Apples suck, no matter where they're made.
I used my 6 and 6S for over 8 years , plan on using my 14 for another 2-4 yearsI have an iPhone 7 - and will never replace it until I have to. Why on earth would I? It is just a smaller version of stupid like replacing a perfectly operable car.
does the "we" mean you and I? and if so, give the benefits in detail! That is your view on the costs. And are there middlemen involved with the product sent to the United States? Unlike Joe and the inflation, we get something in return.
In other words, you can't?Ripping music.
What does your post have ANYTHING to do with the OP?????Tim Cook is using what other nations are trying to do with Trump, engage in charm offensive.
In his case, suggest he will spend $500B in the U.S and get Trump off his back while he fleeces the consumer with exorbitant prices.
Not on an apple iPhone. It won't let you use ripper apps. They'd rather you buy music from their iTunes store. In other words, you can't?
Tim Cook is the decision maker and he is more interested in avoiding tariffs than protecting American national securityWhat does your post have ANYTHING to do with the OP?????
LOL, we replaced our wired land line with VoiP and I still use a couple of Bell South touchtone phones in the house. I still have two Bell South dial phones, but we don't use them.I have an iPhone 7 - and will never replace it until I have to. Why on earth would I? It is just a smaller version of stupid like replacing a perfectly operable car.
Explain how Tim Cook (the decision maker) makes a difference in the cost of making IPhones in India or here, if making them cheaper in India allows him to sell them here to the point that 127 million Americans buy IPhones?Tim Cook is the decision maker and he is more interested in avoiding tariffs than protecting American national security
A tariff will make the decision for him since his interest in national security is overshadowed by his interest in profits above all else.Explain how Tim Cook (the decision maker) makes a difference in the cost of making IPhones in India or here, if making them cheaper in India allows him to sell them here to the point that 127 million Americans buy IPhones?
You are 100% correct and that is the reason for the OP. Trump is offering no choices that help the pocketbooks of Americans. It is "pay more for what you buy and learn to live with it" That is the only choice he is giving you and me.A tariff will make the decision for him since his interest in national security is overshadowed by his interest in profits above all else.
Which is why jobs aren't 'coming back.'Estimates range from $1,500 to $3,500 for a US-made iPhone, depending on the specific model and cost projections.
No. Corporations will have to accept slightly smaller profits. Perhaps cut the excessive salaries of CEOs.You are 100% correct and that is the reason for the OP. It means that "I" have to pay double or triple for Avocado's (and other things) or maybe they may not even be available because the supply of them is way down".
India is where the majority are made now.B.S, they moved their production out of China during covid when China refused to open up.
High tech, sensitive technology manufacturing needs to bring production back to America. The technology is too invasive and a threat to any Western population.
More importantly, there needs to be a direct competition to Apple from a local manufacturer.
