...The arrest order for Mr. Silva followed a June 3 report on controversial journalist Phillip Butters’ television program “Combutters” which revealed an alleged audio clip of a conversation between businessman Zamir Villaverde and former Minister Silva. I
n the recording, Mr. Villaverde is heard talking to Mr. Silva about the delivery of “one hundred grand” (about USD $26,000) in a suitcase. The money is allegedly a bribe for Mr. Silva, in exchange for awarding the tender for the construction of the Tarata bridge.

“100 grand for you. This is a small sample, it is a present of a good sign,” said Mr. Villaverde on the recording.

However, they think he is still in Peru right now and the cops may actually be helping him.
