Interesting. We get Adam Carolla on AM radio where I live. I first became aware of him when he was on "The Man Show" with Jimmy Kimmel. I liked him a lot on that show. So I started listening to him on the radio several years later.

His political views are pretty far to the right for me. However, this piece you have put up here is, as you say, interesting. We need to keep the Muslims afraid of us. We don't need to earn their respect - only their fear.

Not sure I agree with that. I don't pretend to be an expert on the Muslim religion, but it seems to me that respect based on fear is a house of cards that is only good so long as enough fear exists to prevent action. And I don't think that having them fear us is going to do one bit of good. Folks who are not afraid to fly airplanes into tall buildings or blow themselves up in a public place are hardly the kind of people who are going to be intimidated by aggression on our part.
