The Jan 6 riot is called an insurrection by the left. Every left-wing protest and riot in legislative buildings before and since are never labeled that. One wonders why that is. Perhaps the charge it is a political witch hunt does actually apply?

Maybe the difference is (a) interfering with a Congressional act [Congress counting the EC votes], and (b) that Congress through an overwhelming majority identified J6 as an insurrection, passed by both chambers and signed by the President?

Gunny, the statist left depends HEAVILY upon both Semantics & Deception. Since the BLM/antifa Search & Destroy riots happened a while ago the statist left has reverted back to their Semantics & Deception tactics.
