That's how they convinced Kucinich. Remember all those "Fox News" and "Republican" "fear mongering" threads? Looks like the prez's 15-20 year single payer plan may be on the fast track.

Of course this is what this bastard administration foresees . . . all they needed was a foot in the door. It's the plan, the agenda . . . it's goooood for the collective, it's what will fix alllll the problems.

Well, Obama has clearly stated that the bill is a 'transition' and that the ultimate aim is 'single payer'. Why is anyone surprised?

Is that what he said?

Yeah, it's what he said.

We pretty have the same sort of system here in Washington, and have no problems to my knowledge with insurance companies. Of course one of the biggest providers for people getting health care through the state is a non profit, and has patients/clients on the board. And last time I checked Group Health was in pretty good shape.

This is exactly what the Boyking dynasty and his Fabian apparatchiks in congress want to happen nationally, so they can swoop in with full-on socialization of medical services.

The stand-off between Massachusetts regulators and health insurance companies intensified today as most insurers stopped offering new coverage to small businesses and individuals while state officials demanded that the insurers post updated rates online and resume selling such policies by the end of the week.

People seeking to buy health insurance for the first time, or existing customers looking to change policies, found themselves out of luck, at least temporarily, in the aftermath of last week's decision by the state Division of Insurance to reject 235 of 274 premium increases proposed by insurers for what is known as the small group market. The segment covers about 800,000 residents.

Another example of why we needed the Public Option to keep insurers honest.

The three biggest insurers in MA are nonprofits and ALL of them posted losses in 2009

I've posted at least 3 threads on this very subject and not one libby Obama ass kisser could tell me why the so called health care reform bill would not reap similar results as the Assachusetts plan.

Why do you think that is?

BTW I'm still looking for the odds on us all having to buy health insurance from the government's own insurance agency AKA AIG before the next decade is out.

if it was going to have to go to single payer, then it should have just been offered as single payer by congresscritters, or Medicare for All...because if we look at HCR in all of the other States that have done health care reform, Maine included, with the private sector, it has FAILED, so congress's federal plan will probably fail as well...we could have learned from the HCR test markets that were out there, before jumping in to the kettle with this plan...I'll say that much is a certainty to me.
"Single payer" (read socialized medical services) was not going to and never will fly as an above-board program.

That the alleged "private sector" reforms have failed has also been by design....Which means that the really didn't fail at all, since they achieved the desired effect of a gubmint takeover and monopoly.

wtf? haven't the libtards been assuring us the HCR bill was manna from heaven and would save the nation trillion??? now barely a month out and they say it was destined to fail??? now somebody tell us why we should believe one word that rolls off yer forked tongue??

I have said ever since the single poayer part died that it would fail and should not be passed.
It was engineered by interested parties to fail.
Many of them dems bought out by the health care industry.

That has been the plan all along, to cripple the ins co's with govt mandates and then be able to come in and install the public (govt) option. Obama and his puppets will tell the public that they gave the ins co's a chance to do right and they failed and now the great govt will save us all.

How will a public option keep the 3 biggest not for profit insurance providers in MA honest?

These 3 companies already spend nearly 90% of their premium revenue on reimbursements for their policy holders

The only reason the public option is wanted is to drive the private health insurance industry into extinction there by setting up the government to be our one and only insurer.

I'm sure I chop bits and pieces from separate comments and make it appear as anyone is saying almost anything.
