Well it's better than the GOP not becoming active in the ongoing war.

Two possibilities:

They will oppose the war on the strength of promoting opposition to Biden. (this had a somewhat positive effect on Clinton's 99 war in Kosovo, but it was minimal) (this war is much more dangerous.

The GOP could get behind the cause and be safe with the fact that Americans are safely in the basket for the war.

On an optimistic note, the GOP must surely understand that this is America's war against Russia, and nuclear war is a very high risk.

Here's an opportunity for Americans to predict which way the GOP will turn? There's so much for them to gain by opposing Biden, but there's also solid past precedence of Americans always supporting their country's wars.
