There's your problem. We ARE. Survival of the fittest, even the financial fittest. The poor will always spend their money on what feels good. They have no impulse control. Give them a windfall and they will buy a new car, rent a bigger apartment, have some retail therapy at the mall. In a remarkably short time, they are as poor as they ever were.Sort of like the natural laws that exist on the African Savannah with all the diverse creatures there eh ?? However, we are not animals subject to the laws of an African savannah, and therefore we are given position within the higher archy of God's creation, and we should act like it.
There was an experiment with young children. Children were offered free lollipops. They could get one lollipop a day or get no lollipops a day and at the end of the week they would get 14 lollipops, twice as many as if they got daily lollipops. Some children did wait. Some children did not. At the end of a week when the children who had gotten no lollipops all week got 14, the other children, who could not wait complained. It was unfair of those who had twice as many lollipops to not share and give some to the others who had none. And that's why poor people will always be poor.
