That's a fact. Neither Biden nor Harris had any interest in the memorial event. The Gold Star families invited President Trump to attend and participate and he immediately said yes. He intended to do it just with the families and no press but the families wanted the event recorded.

The event had permission for photos. He was invited to the event by Gold Star parents still grieving the needless deaths of their sons. So a photo and video was posted of the event. The Gold Star parents were good with that. They wanted the event commemorated. It helped them with their grief.

For meanspirited partisans to vilify them, Trump or anybody else over a simple ceremonial commemoration for the benefit of the Gold Star families that THEY put together is simple reprehensible. Trump had nothing to do with it other than he was invited to be there and he went.
