That's pretty damned silly if you consider the fact that the entire continent of Europe only consumed 2,419 terrawatt hours in 2024, while the United States used almost twice that in 2024, or 4,145 terrawatt hours.
The average electrical rate in the US is also 17.45 cents per kilowatt hour, while the average electrical rate in Europe is 28.72 cents per kilowatt hour.
Also keep in mind that the entire population of Europe is 744,385,375 as of 2025, which is over twice the US population. Europe also covers 4 million square miles while the US has a land mass of 3.81 million square miles.
In other words, Europe only gets to use half the electricity we do, but are paying twice as much. Now you see why Europeans are so backwards, cold, hungry, poor, and constantly squabbling with each other. I don't want to be like Europe.
