A WestPac is not just a MEU. The FA-18s do them. 6 months to the Western Pacific. Based out of MCAS Iwakuni while we are there. Then went all around the region, Okinawa, ROK, Thailand, Australia and more.
I have 4 little bronze stars on my Sea Service Deployment Ribbon, means I did my fair share.
