in 793 the Vikings raided Lindisfarne

because the descandents of the invaders still rule
Thats really not necessarily so at all, Zebra. For instance, Peru's current president Dina Boluarte is descended from the Quechua people of the Andes, which are a fully indigenous Peruvian tribe, the most indigenous after the primitive people of the Amazon who still are isolated today. Peru has had many other examples of indigenous leadership in the past, moreso than most other South American nations. Bolivia is another prime example and Ecuador has had a substantial number as well. Colombia also made significant progress in the early 20th century with strong indigenous representation in government.

Way back in 1858, even Mexico elected a fully indigenous president, Benito Juarez. There are examples all over the Latin world, sometimes going back quite a bit. No one has really launched any passionate and successful purge of the religion or culture of the original conquerors. It is still mostly glorified. The Catholic Church is probably at the center of the reason for that.

If they whine about reparation, absolutely. If you go far back enough, then reparations become so ******* confusing that no one has any idea who owes what to whom.
the French owe Germany a lot

and the Vikings who burned Cologne

Germany never asked for reparations.

But had to pay the French a terrible amount, which led to te rise of Hitler

Maybe the Vikings were just fighting some evil anti-Viking empire with force to spread Vikingism throughout the world. Works for us.
