This is a weak argument. Pointing out that immigrants commit less crime than native born Americans is not a "Get Out Of Jail Free" card for allowing unchecked swarms over the border. The bottom line is were those criminal immigrants not here there would be less overall crime. We have immigration laws for a reason and they need to be followed. Nobody should be permitted to come here illegally. We have every right to select who we want and don't want, and we would be stupid not to, and asylum claims need to be legitimate.

Apparently you cannot read. If you'd looked though the linked article you would have found that those numbers are per 100,000 US Citizens, per 100,000 legal immigrants and per 100,000 undocumented immigrants. US citizens commit the vast number of violent crimes and undocumented immigrants commit the least. These numbers are solely from Texas. Texas was used because it is the only state that requires citizenship status be recorded in arrest records.

True. But as Trump and his supporters so often forget, "innocent until proven guilty" is a right of all persons within the borders of this nation, not just citizens. And until they are found guilty in a criminal court, an UNDOCUMENTED immigrant is not a criminal... unlike Donald J Trump, convicted felon at large.
