I am a licensed pilot and keep thinking what if autos had to do what pilots have to do. To start with, we have to get the ATIS report and say what it is when starting up. We have to ask the Tower to give us permission to taxi after we tell them where we want to go. So auto drivers, supoposed you had to use a radio and get permission to enter the road? We don't resent it. Would you want this kind of system?

As a Car Pilot I have full knowledge of a Highway Code plus automated signalling --- we say , traffic lights and road signs -- to guide and instruct .

All you are telling us is that a Flying Pilot has a different set of protocols to follow from a Car Pilot.

Not better .
Not worse .
Just different .
