The Nuremberg trials were conducted by the International Military Tribunal (IMT), which included judges from the four Allied nations: the United States, the United Kingdom, the Soviet Union, and France. Each country provided one judge and one alternate judge for the proceedings.
In addition to the IMT, the United States conducted twelve subsequent Nuremberg trials from 1946 to 1949, focusing on various groups, including military leaders, doctors, and industrialists. These trials were held in the same courtroom as the IMT, with American judges presiding over the proceedings.
