Not sure if this belongs in the economy or stocks section-need a "financial" section.
It's the December 26, 2024 show. He has been doing his show for over 30 years.
I first saw Dave Ramsey in person at a show in Houston, TX 18 years ago. He was much younger and slim. That was back when he pushing his "Total Money Makeover" book. Which is some good stuff. I took my daughter to that show. We have seen him a few more times after that.
A lady called in whose husband is in the military and they are now expecting a baby... and her husband had a credit card with his mother and his mother ran it up $14K. Dave preached the "Leave & Cleave" sermon. He put the blame 100% on the husband. He said a week "BEFORE" he got married he was supposed to cut entire family off financially including his mother. Dave says the big baby has not matured, and this financial situation is going to get worse until he pulls away from his mother $$$. I say it has divorce written all over it and child support.
I'm a female and I would not be in $100 debt along with my mother. Do you think Dave gave the right advice?
