WTF?! Has Greece become a synonym, for violence? OK, corruption and crooked politicians I might accept, but there are far worse. Corruption in Greece has never been as bad as Chicago.

Still, Greece is far safer than just about anywhere in the US, even in the sleaziest parts of Athens.

Detroit - Liberalism - bankrupt
California - Liberalism - 5 billion dollars in debt, soon to be bankrupt.
Illinois - liberalism - wont pay people who put in their state taxes, or wins the state lottery.
Venezuela - Liberalism - people starving .

Those are not parts of American Society, those are liberal failures as liberalism is all about failure. When you run out of other people's money, then everyone will be equal. Equally poor and equally miserable. That is FAIRNESS....

yep, Illinois is in a death spiral.

run for years by dems, with a state legislature run by the dems, gerrymandered to death by Speaker Madigan.

dems held all the trifecta of both chambers of the legislature and the governorship from 2003-2014 and now refuse to work with the pub governor elected in 2014 by people that recognized the state is fucked. We haven't had a budget since his election and his programs have mostly, if not completely, been rejected/ignored by the dem controlled legislature.

Madigan has gerrymandered the shit out of the state and is the second longest "serving" leader of any state legislative body in the history of the United States, having held the position for all but two years since 1983. One of the most powerful, longest "serving" people in one of the most corrupt states in the country. He is a crook that has gerrymandered and strong armed his way into a nearly unassailable position of ultimate power in the the state.

illinois is a hotbed of corruption. while we've had a couple of pub governors recently and yes some of those bastards were corrupt also, the state is, without a question, run by the dems and, more specifically, Madigan and has been for decades at this point. while the lefties in the state love to wail that both sides have made mistakes leading to this problem, and they have, the balance of power has tilted unquestionably to the dems here in the land of Lincoln...
