New gun control law targets Chicago violence

"Gov. Bruce Rauner approved a law on Tuesday that imposes a stiff penalty on anyone without a gun-owner identification card who brings a gun into the state of Illinois to sell."

Instead of the old penalties of misdemeanors of less than a year for first timers, and 5 years for repeat offenders, the law calls for 4-20 years for first, 30 for repeaters.

Sounds like a plan to me
