Ilhan Omar’s Husband’s Firm Scrubbing Names in Wake of Massive MN Fraud Discovery

Tell that to my Mexican friends who still talk to each other in Spanish but converse with others in English. You should never expect someone to use your language to people who know theirs. My wife, daughter and son all understand Spanish, and speak a little.
As long as the immigrant learns English to communicate well with American citizens, they can talk to each other anyway they want. The problem is we have far too many people here that hate us.

I also don’t think we need to translate voting material into English. Do taxpayers really need to pay for thousands of signs that say “vote aqui”, and say “presidente” on the ballot?! I thought basic English competency was a requirement of citizenship.
Whether anyone likes it or not, The US is not exclusively English speaking with a significant number speaking Spanish. I have no problems restricting ballots to English and Spanish. Both languages can be included on the same ballot. Electronic voting machines can be written in a number of languages.

BTW, a ballot would never say "vote aqui", but a sign on the street might. See! I knew enough Spanish to recognize your mistake!

I SAID THAT “vote aqui” WERE SIGNS! Maybe you need to work on YOUR English.

Why do we have to translate vote ballots into Spanish? Only citizens are allowed to vote, and acquiring basic English proficiency is a requirement of citzenship.

Signs and ballots should be in English only. If you’re too stupid to know what “vote here” means, you shouldn’t be voting,

I apologize for my error. Please forgive me.

The highlighted statement is only partially true as there are exceptions. Some people are just more comfortable in Spanish, for example many Puerto Ricans are US citizens and eligible to vote in US elections if they now reside in the states.

I guess you would also oppose that the "wet floor" marker signs at Walmart be in English only., despite the fact that they are probably manufactured or also sold in Mexico?

For all other languages, I agree 100%, but there are far too many people who speak Spanish to ignore them.

Just out of curiosity, do you speak Yiddish or Hebrew?
